3. Dinner Church Group–Tuesdays 6pm-7:15pm –Meets in the Forum
Group Leader – Pastor Jared Murray
This group will meet over a meal and discuss the book Dinner Church by Verlon Fosner. Book Description: Church was not always done the way we do it. There was a time when Christians gathered around tables, included the strangers and the poor, they ate together and talked about Jesus. This form of church occurred mostly during the first 300 years of Christianity, and was highly effective in bringing lost people to Jesus. This book examines what it might look like for a church to plant a dinner church in a neighborhood. Revelation 3:20 makes it clear that Jesus still wants to have dinner with sinners. That likely means he wants His church to set the table.

In addition to the common benefits to all members of small groups such as loving each other, bible study and prayer, our focus is toward FBC seniors with anticipated outreach to those outside our church. We desire to be a resource of information on senior services available within Monmouth County plus providing care and assistance toward extending an independent lifestyle whether living at home or in a senior facility. We maintain contacts with all through regular planned social activities and with those unable to attend church due to physical or other limitations, through calls, card and visits.
